Tony Jannus and his historic flight into history have yet to be commemorated with an official US stamp. While many aviators and aviation achievements have been recognized on United States postage stamps over the years, the World’s First Airline and its pioneer pilot Tony Jannus have not yet been so honored. It is particularly appropriate that such an honor be awarded for the Centennial of the first commercial flight in 1914. Please join with the Tony Jannus Distinguished Aviation Society in seeking this special recognition for Tony Jannus and the World’s First Airline. We ask you to help in the following ways:
- Sign the Tony Jannus Stamp Petition, Part II
- Write a letter of support to the U.S. Postal Service Citizens Stamp Advisory Committee. The Aviation Society must receive letters not later than June 15, 2012. Letters should be addressed:
Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee
C/o Tony Jannus Distinguished Aviation Society
Post Office Box 10934
Tampa, Florida 33679
